Training Grants

Training Grants
The  Timothy L Correll Foundation has available funds to provide grants to  Minnesota Fire Departments and Ambulance Services for training purposes.

Our  goal is to provide extra training funds to help communities better equip their first responders so that there are always well-trained  emergency service personnel that are ready to respond in times of need.  Please be advised that we do not, however, provide funds for the  purchase of  equipment.

TLCF, Inc invests in individuals who are willing to serve their local communities as well-trained emergency personnel and invests in Minnesota communities by acting as a private-funding  resource for local emergency medical services (EMS) and fire services.   These awards meet a specific local training need.

Grants are  available annually, based on available funds, for any of the following:  specific training initiatives, Fire Prevention Week, Emergency Medical Refresher Courses and Recertification, Community Programs, and other  needs as long as they fit into an ongoing training program.

In  the last 18 years TLCF has provided grants for training such as auto extrication, combined space, driving apparatus, search and rescue, and others; as well as provided funds for fire department community open houses/demonstrations and fire prevention programs for children in our elementary schools.

Training grant requests can be emailed to  The TLCF Board of Directors review requests on an ongoing basis throughout the year and make awards based on funds availability. For  more information please contact us by email.

Everyday,  in every community, EMS responders answer the call to provide  lifesaving care and transportation for our family members, neighbors,  and friends. We  believe in strong, prepared, resilient communities through the power of  education and well-trained emergency service workers, nurses and  committed community volunteers.
